• Since the introduction of SEPA in 2014, Irish banks have been providing a conversion service to process the old EMT format files for payroll and creditor payments.
• In line with EU regulations, Irish banks will be terminating the SEPA Credit File Conversion Service.
• Some Irish Banks have announced this service will discontinue from 1st February 2016.
• From this date only XML format files will be accepted and any EMTS format (Standard 18) files will be rejected.
